Vacant Windows is a collaborative project based in Baltimore that focuses on synth-pop oriented gloom-wave. By tossing aside the comfortable conventions of traditional rock and roll, they endeavor to approach music with an adventurous attitude towards experimentation through the blending of washy, spaced out guitars and an array of synthesized and sequenced sounds. Vacant Windows began in 2012 and have released one EP, entitled The Singles, which has been compared to the sounds of Depeche Mode and The XX. They are currently wrapping up production on their first full length album, which is shaping up to be a dynamic mix of synthetic and analog expression.
