Jeff Waters is a singer/songwriter/pianist from Baltimore whose music was described by the Philly Post as “melancholy perfection”. Having grown up around a variety of musical influences, his songs shift effortlessly between anthemic rock to electronic to jazz-tinged meditations. Jeff released his full-length debut, Stations, in September 2012, and the followup The Beat of the Blue is out now!
This time around Jeff and Producer/Multi-instrumentalist Sean Mercer worked all summer on his sophomore record. The first single is titled “Glory Days”. It’s a killer singalong anthem. Not to mention the rest of the record which pulls from the epic qualities of The Arcade Fire and angularness of St. Vincent. What a perfect single for the changing leaves that will be with us in the next few weeks.
Recorded at J. Robbins’ Magpie Cage Recording Studio and at Sean’s production studio here in Baltimore.
